um, I think I-mobile strategy is selling next model using existing device but upgrade cpu & Android to next level. By this way they can reduce time to porting new android and reduce time to market.
They may not provide 2.2 for this model but if my assumption is correct then we may able to porting new 2.2 back to this model.
I’m not saying they wouldn’t do 2.2…all I’m saying is that after such a big major upgrade, it’s too soon to ask…need to give them a break to stabilize it a bit…honestly without seeing their product roadmap, all I can say is purely speculation
I work with a global software firm and I know what it’s like…I can feel their pains..that’s all to put myself in their shoes….we’ve been working on a new product for 3 years and will get roll out to the world next week…though today we started working on post go-live releases, but if anything were to happen, all hands on deck to fix the current version first..
in my opinion I think they have to improve the support issue such as stabilize the current FW , improve call center & information center ( i.e. facebook ) ,fix known errors & bugs. But it would be sweet if they concern about upgrade it to 2.2
