We are working very closely with Google and our carrier partners to bring you the most optimized experience on each of our smartphones powered by Android; this means appropriately releasing both operating system upgrades and software maintenance updates which enhance device functionality. Note: Launch timelines include limited “pre-release” phases of software deployment. These usually precede wide release by a pre-defined observation period, generally less than a week.

* Some country / carrier combinations are still under evaluation for an upgrade.
** Droid owners in the U.S. who have not upgraded to Android 2.2 can initiate the upgrade by going to Menu > Settings > About phone > System updates on their Droid and following the instructions to download and install. For help, please contact us.
