Try set CPU setting,
-the Governor to POWER SAVE
-min CPU 245
-max CPU 604
-check set on boot
At first it seems to lag a bit but after it seems ok, to me.
I have set the phone in airplane mode once and forget to reset, the battery last more than 6 days in that mode.
Currently, using the Cyanogen 7.1 MOD by MAD Team, ROM 1.2+HF 1, Baseband JP2, with S2E.
🙂
It happen to me too. Stop after
playing a few second pass
one minute. My work around is
to manual move pass last end point
and continue playing.
Try wipe data and factory rest after flash,… note: all your installed apk will be gone too if you have any.
Currently, The MAD team has a collection of the baseband topic and you can download,
http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/basebands/
I’m using the JP2, it seems to work fine with me so far compare to when use JPE.
If you find which is best for Thailand, please let us know.
🙂
One more thing Cyanogen 7.1, comes with Thai font.
It means it can display Thai, but not input.
To input Thai you need to load .apk in Market and install.
🙂
Well..well..her is the link,

this is the link from the MAD Team,
go ther and look around
Currently, i’m using their
– Cyanogen 7.1,
– use CWM to update ROM, no need to use Odin
Their ROM is very sweet, but use at your own risk, but so far I’m satisfied with their ROM.
Have Fun !!!
🙂
If any lag from ROM 2.2, the MAD Team recommends using the ROM 2.2.1 by Dashblack.
I’m using it now, but the battery is drained a bit faster thatn 2.0.9 and 2.0.9.2, especially when you use WiFi and play games.
Using Android System info, it show that CPU run at 600MHz all the time for ROM 2.2.1.
Another amazing thing I found is that when I look at “Internal Phone Storage”, mine reports as available space 403 MB. Unbelievable, I think the phone somehow report the swap+internal remaining.
Another problem is that the compass does not work correctly, if anybody has already try install “compass fix” and it works, please let me know too. Just afraid it would screw up my phone and need to flash again.
I’m waiting for custom ROM Cyanogen 7 2.95, still got a few bugs and hope stable version will come out soon. As far as I know, a lot people praise about this ROM, faster.
hope the MAD team can work out soon.
Go MAD Team !!!
For whom use MADTeam ROM 2.0.9.2,
I suggest you should also use script in the topic “Script: App2SD Configuration” by subpskype. The script will also move /data/dalvik-cache to SD, result is that your phone will have 140MB meomory remaining on phone.
Actually, this script according to subskype, it is good for ROM 2.0.9 and 2.0.9.x only.
I found the script is very easy, run thru bat files and just select what you want. Also, the script according to subpskype, it will check available space too. For more detail please goto this link,

One suggestion, you can takeout your SD card and partition using computer (PC or NB) using free MiniTool (google it), with 1st part. is fat32, 2nd is ext2, 3rd is swap. I found it is easier and then flash ROM. My SD is 2 GB, I’m using 1.13GB, about 500MB, about 200MB for swap. One more important all 3 partitions must be primary.
Note: ROM 2.2 cause lag in using because it also move /data/data to SD also, if your SD is not in class 4 or greater, you will encounter lagging easily due to speed. So, currently the MAD team has ROM 2.2.1 out now.
have fun with MAD rom !!!
very good “How to” instruction, looks a lot better than their own website !!!
I can not wait for Samsung for Android 2.2, so I search in internet and found this site,

Currently, I use their ROM v.2.0.9 final which is stable and have no problem so far.
It is based on ROM
– Android version: 2.2
– Baseband version: I5500LUYJP2
I do search in ‘Google’ how to display and key Thai, and here is what I do to make my G5 with Latin ROM Android 2.2 to read Thai and Key in Thai,
***To read Thai
– download DroidSans fonts that has Thai fonts,
– use ADB to copy DroidSans ttf files to /system/fonts on mobile phone ( need to install latest KIES, to have drivers installed)
– Then the G5 can now display Thai fonts.
***To Key in Thai
– just installed Arc Thai Keyboard, and enable at ‘SETTING’.
– at entry box, select ‘INPUT METHOD’
Enjoy !! and have fun !!
why don’t you guys try the ROM by MAD Team, motafoca 2.0.9 final.
it is great for G5, based on Android 2.2 Europe.
So far I have been using for some times now, no problem so far, all devices work ok.
Using Thai, no problem, work perfectly after copy and install soft keyboard.
Once you like it do not forget to donate them.

To make G5 able to use Thai, need to

Also, just installed Arc Thai Keyboard, make my G5 can type in Thai.
My G5 use modified ROM from ‘motafoca’ v.2.0.9 that is based on Android 2.2 Froyo, but a lot faster and battery last longer than before.
