เมื่อสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว หลายๆ คนอาจจะเจอข้อความประหลาดๆ บน WhatsApp ที่เป็นภาษาอังกฤษยาวๆ บางคนขี้เกียจอ่านก็ลบไป บางคนอ่านแล้วไม่เข้าใจก็ปล่อยผ่าน แต่บางคนอ่านแล้วตกใจเลยแปลเป็นไทยแล้วส่งต่อกันเป็นลูกโซ่ซะยังงั้น เนื้อหาจริงๆ ของข้อความลูกโซ่นี้ก็มีอยู่ว่า

“Whatsapp is shutting down on 28th jan Message from Jim Balsamic (CEO of Whatsapp) we have had an over usage of user names on whatsapp Messenger. We are requesting all users to forward this message to their entire contact list. If you do not forward this message, we will take it as your account is invalid and it will be deleted within the next 48 hours. Please DO NOT ignore this message or whatsapp will no longer recognise your activation. If you wish to re-activate your account after it has been deleted, a charge of 25.00 will be added to your monthly bill. We are also aware of the issue involving the pictures updates not showing. We are working diligently at fixing this problem and it will be up and running as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation from the Whatsapp team” หรือแปลเป็นไทยก็ประมาณว่า

“เดี๋ยวสิ้นเดือนเราจะปิด WhatsApp แล้วนะ นี่เราเอง จิม บัลเซมิค CEO ของ WhatsApp เพราะตอนนี้คนใช้เยอะเกินไปแล้วเรารับไม่ไหว สำหรับใครที่อยากจะใช้แบบฟรีๆ ต่อก็ส่งข้อความนี้ไปหาเพื่อนๆ ทุกคนบน WhatsApp เลยนะ ถ้าไม่ส่งเราลบ account คุณแน่นอนภายใน 48 ชั่วโมง และถ้าคุณจะเปิดบริการใหม่เราจะคิดเงินทันที 25 บาท เอ๊ย! 25 เหรียญดอลล่าร์ และตอนนี้ทีมงานเราก็รู้ว่า WhatsApp มีปัญหาเรื่องการแชร์ภาพ ทีมงานก็ไม่ได้นิ่งนอนใจ กำลังแก้ปัญหาอยู่ ขอบคุณทุกๆ ท่านที่ให้ความร่วมมือส่งข้อความนี้ต่อๆ ไป จากใจทีมงาน WhatsApp”

โอ้ว บ๊ะ บ๊ะ! นี่ถ้ามีเรื่องส่งต่อแล้วถูกรางวัลที่ 1 ติดๆ กัน 3-4 งวด หรือไม่ส่งต่อแล้วจะมีอันเป็นไป เล็บกุด ท้องผูก ไม่สบาย ตายใน 3 วันนี่ มันจะเหมือนของบ้านเราเป๊ะๆ เลยนะนี่

และมีการอ้างอิงต่อไปอีกว่า หากใครทำได้สำเร็จโลโก้ WhatsApp ของท่านจะกลายเป็นสีแดง สีส้ม เอ้อ เอาเข้าไปสิ

สรุปแล้วเรื่องนี่มันก็โกหกทั้งเพครับ ทีมงาน WhatsApp เลยออกมาบอกว่านี่มันคือ Hoax Message หรือข้อความหลอกลวง นั่นเอง พร้อมกันนั้นก็มีการออก update version ล่าสุดออกมาด้วย
